Repo! The Genetic Opera just opened in the US last November 7. I got my first glimpse of this film during one of those awards show on TV, when they were promoting it even if it was still in production that time. I caught a sample of its music and since then, my interest was piqued. I love the music featured in this film.

For those who don’t know, Repo! The Genetic Opera is a futuristic goth opera starring Anthony Stewart Head (Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Sarah Brightman, Alexa Vega (the kid from Spy Kids), and Paris Hilton. Yup, you read it right — Paris Hilton is in this film. I myself couldn’t believe that anyone would get her to star in a musical — and with Sarah Brightman, no less! Paris Hilton and Sarah Brightman are like oil and water — they don’t mix! But then again, I still have to watch this musical to see if this combination is good or not. The problem is, the film is being shown on selected countries only. I tried searching for its release dates in other countries aside from Germany, Spain, and Canada but got nothing. I do hope they will release it here as I would love to watch it.
