I just spent the entire afternoon yesterday looking for a gift for the office Kris Kringle. But after hours and hours of searching at every possible store where the item/s could be found, I ended up with nothing. This is really frustrating. I think this is the first time that I’m having trouble buying a Kris Kringle gift. I never knew looking for a gift based from a wish list could be this difficult!
Arrgh! This Kris Kringle thing is making me feel stressed out. Practically all the items on the wish list I got are either unavailable, too expensive (that is, exceeding way too much upon the agreed amount), or out of stock. And it doesn’t help that my Secret Santa is a guy. Choosing a gift for a guy is usually hard. I just don’t know what gift to give him now. Ugh! I wish this would be over soon.

I just bought what every hardcore X-phile must have in his or her collection: the latest book called The Complete X-Files: Behind the Series, the Myths, and the Movies. I was so happy to get it from Bibliarch yesterday as this was only in limited release here in the country. Among the ten copies (yes, only ten!) shipped here, I was able to secure a copy as soon as it arrived. Of course, that was a given since I already reserved a copy even before the book was locally available.
The hardbound book was a bit heavy but it was full of glossy pictures of the cast and crew of The X-Files including never-before-published photos. I have yet to read the whole thing but I was able to browse through it and boy, there were lots of wonderful photos in there, which included behind-the-scene pictures from the two X-Files movies — Fight the Future and I Want to Believe. Granted the book was pretty expensive but it was all worth it!
