One more day to go before the declaration ceremony of the New 7 Wonders of the World! This history-making event will happen tomorrow, July 7, 2007 (or 7-7-7) at Lisbon, Portugal. A special show has been arranged and celebrities like Hilary Swank, Jennifer Lopez, and Ben Kingsley will be attending the said event. There will also be performances by Chaka Khan, Jose Carreras, Alessandro Safina, among others.

I’m really excited to find out which historical places around the world would be chosen as the official New 7 Wonders of the World. I hope all the places I voted would be chosen. I actually had difficulty voting because there were just so many amazing places to choose (you only get to pick 7 out of the 21 places from around the world). Well, whatever the outcome, the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt will surely be included. So that means that technically, there will be 8 new wonders of the world declared tomorrow. This was because a few months ago, Egyptian officials got indignant and protested why they had to compete with the other places when in fact, the Pyramids of Giza were already long established as part of the wonders of the world. So it was decided that the Giza Pyramids would already be included in the new list among the other 7 places that would be chosen.

This once in a lifetime event will be broadcasted around the world. I only hope this will be shown in the local channels.
